What to Expect
Your laser journey at QT

Patch Test — £50 (redeemable)
Required before your first session. Takes 10 minutes. We assess your skin tone, hair colour, and medical history, test the laser at low energy on a small area, and confirm the safest settings for your treatment. The £50 is redeemable against your first treatment or course.

Shave 24–48 hours before
Do not wax, thread, or pluck — the laser needs the root intact. Shaving is fine and recommended. Arrive with clean, product-free skin. No fake tan for 2 weeks before treatment.

Treatment Session
The laser pulses target melanin in each follicle. Most clients describe the sensation as a warm flick. Cooling is applied throughout. Small areas take 20 minutes; full legs or back take up to an hour.

Repeat every 4–8 weeks
Hair grows in cycles — most areas need 6–8 sessions spaced 4–8 weeks apart to catch all follicles in the active growth phase. Facial hair needs sessions closer together; body hair can be spaced further.

Most areas require 6–8 sessions to achieve 80–90% permanent reduction. Hair grows in cycles — only follicles in the active growth phase respond to laser. Sessions are spaced 4–8 weeks apart. After your course, occasional maintenance sessions (1–2 per year) may be needed for any regrowth.

Yes. Our laser is calibrated for Fitzpatrick skin types I–VI, including darker skin tones. The patch test confirms the correct energy settings to be effective without risk of hyperpigmentation. Many clinics decline to treat Fitzpatrick IV–VI — we do not.
